With only a loss to Tahlequah, the Skiatook girls entered the Sperry tournament 2-1 and hoping to bring home some hardware. Led by Kendall Schulte, a top-10 Oklahoma girls basketball scorer, many believed they would contend for the tournament championship, and the run they have put together has not disappointed.

The first game began with an almost 40-point victory against Barnsdall, when the Bulldogs beat the Panthers 71-32 behind a solid display from the entire offense. Schulte led all scorers with 16, although most of the Skiatook starters only played for the first half.
