Claremore boys 74, Skiatook 49 — The third-ranked Zebras improved to 21-2 on the season, and used the entire bench to whollop the Bulldogs Friday, 74-49. This is the second meeting this season, and the two teams will meet for a third time at 8 p.m. Friday at the Claremore regional opener.

Skiatook used the long ball to its detriment Friday, missing many more than they made throughout the game. Those long rebounds went to Claremore players, which resulted in some easy transition baskets on their way to a 40-22 halftime lead.

Jeff Oxford played sparingly, but still led the Zebras with 13 points.

Skiatook was never in the game after the first quarter. And at the end of the third, where Claremore outscored the home team 20-13, it was mop up duty for the reserves.
